Paseo Village, Anaheim

Located in the older South of Romenya neighborhood of Anaheim, Paseo Village was developed with the Related Companies. The176 units were deteriorating in an area that had gang and drug problems, overcrowded housing, inadequate parking and the absence of a safe areas for children to play. This 10.1-acre site was transformed into a gated community of 176 residential units in 48 buildings (one, two & three bedrooms) plus a new community building and swimming pool. The community building houses a large lounge, kitchen, an exercise room, restrooms, children’s lounge with computers, and offices. Throughout the site, there are toddler’s playgrounds with sturdy play equipment and active use areas for older children. In addition, there are recreation areas with picnic tables and barbecues and nine satellite laundry facilities. ESL lessons are offered on site and the Anaheim Boys and Girls Club provides daily after school activities, both educational and recreational, for the children at Paseo Village and the surrounding neighborhood. This revitalization project was made possible by funds from the City of Anaheim and the California Tax Credit Allocation Program.
