K.C. Wilson, an advocate and developer of affordable housing, located and developed this property to address the housing needs of the Otay-Nestor Planning Area Neighborhood Revitalization. Mesa Family Villas is a 42-unit apartment development of three bedroom/ two bath family apartments. Project amenities include a community laundry room, play area with the latest in playground equipment, community room and fully equipped computer room. The community room is designed for an after- school learning center, adult education and meeting facility. The after- school and educational programs are intended to assist the residents develop and expand their educational skills. The Boys & Girls Club of Imperial Beach operate an after-school program and adult education at Mesa Family Villas. This project was funded by a loan from the San Diego Housing Commission and the California Tax Credit Allocation Program.
